The Revenue of Entrepreneurs of Peyek Snack’s Small Scale Industries in Padang City

Abstract


Abstrack This study aims to reveal how emotional intelligence and persistence affect the income of entrepreneurs who own a small-scale industry of snacks called Peyek in Padang City. The type of this research is descriptive and associative research. In this study, the research populations are 82 entrepreneurs of small-scale industries of Peyek in Padang City. The Two Stage Cluster Random Sampling technique is used to determine the sample and the result obtained are 42 people in total. The technique of collecting data is by using questionnaires which will be tested first by testing the validity and reliability before being distributed. Data analysis technique used in this study is Path Analysis and t-Test is used in hypothesis test. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Emotional intelligence significantly affects entrepreneurs’ persistence, 2) Emotional intelligence significantly affects entrepreneurs’ income, 3) Persistence does not significantly influence the revenue of entrepreneurs, 4) Emotional intelligence significantly influence the entrepreneurs’ profits by means of their persistence.
